Trucks Transporting RBI Currency Collide In Chandigarh, Injuring A Police Officer

On Monday afternoon, a serious collision occurred between two trucks on Sector-26 Madhya Road in Chandigarh. The Reserve Bank of India owned both of the trucks in question (RBI). It took two trucks to transport the cash from one location to the other. As a result, the truck driver in front of him quickly engaged the brakes, and the truck behind him was forced to crash into him.

The force of the accident was so great that the rear vehicle was severely damaged, and the female constable who was seated in it became trapped in the center. After a lot of effort, it was finally dragged out with the help of a crane. The female constable was severely hurt in the accident, resulting in a broken leg. PGI has admitted the female constable to their facility.

Both trucks were on their way to the RBI to deposit money. In Sector-26, a truck driver in front of him suddenly engaged the brakes, causing the truck behind him to hit him at high speed. The preceding truck’s front end was severely damaged in the accident, and for safety reasons, the lady constable sitting next to the driver became wedged between the iron rails of the truck.

The mishap was reported to the fire department and the police by those on the scene soon after it occurred. Following this, the female policeman who had become stuck in the vehicle was extricated by shattering the iron with the assistance of a crane. In addition, traffic was disrupted for an extended period, resulting in a huge backlog of vehicles on the center lane. The police diverted traffic for a short period, and after the rescue operation was over, traffic returned to normal. With the assistance of a crane, the woman constable was extricated from the truck by smashing the vehicle’s front section.
