Chandigarh Welfare Trust Collaborates with OATI and Traffic Police to Promote Road Safety

Road safety is a critical issue that requires the collective effort of the government, organizations, and the public to prevent road accidents and fatalities. One of the most effective ways to promote road safety is through awareness drives that educate people about the importance of safety measures like helmets, seat belts, and traffic rules.

Recently, Chandigarh Welfare Trust collaborated with OATI India and Chandigarh Traffic Police to organize a Road Safety Awareness Drive in the city. The event was aimed at spreading awareness about road safety and promoting the use of helmets among two-wheeler riders.

The founder of Chandigarh Welfare Trust, S. Satnam Singh Sandhu, distributed Head Safetyguard “Helmets” to over 200 employees of Lion Service Ltd., Zomato, and Swiggy as part of the CSR initiative of OATI. The helmets will help protect the employees while they are on the road and reduce the risk of head injuries in case of an accident.

The event was attended by S. Jaswinder Singh, DSP Traffic, Chandigarh Police, who took a session and delivered a lecture on the importance of wearing a helmet and the correct way to wear it. The session was held in the presence of Shri Amritpal Singh Aulakh, Director, OATI India, CA Neelkanth, and General Manager of Lion Service Ltd. Sh Hitesh Sachdeva.

The initiative taken by Chandigarh Welfare Trust, OATI India, and Chandigarh Traffic Police is commendable as it will go a long way in promoting road safety and reducing the number of accidents caused by the non-usage of helmets. It is essential to create awareness about the importance of wearing helmets while riding two-wheelers, as it is a critical safety measure that can save lives.

In conclusion, the Road Safety Awareness Drive organized by Chandigarh Welfare Trust, OATI India, and Chandigarh Traffic Police is a step in the right direction towards promoting road safety and preventing accidents. Such initiatives should be encouraged, and we all must work together to make our roads safer for everyone.
