India gives financial assistance to Sri Lanka at a rate of USD 4 billion, including lines of credit to buy fuel and food, during the economic crisis. New Delhi gives guarantees to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and gives support to the country by securing a bailout package of USD 2.9 billion.
