New York’s Times Square To Live-Stream Ram Mandir Consecration Ceremony

India Today has learned from reliable sources that the live broadcast of the grand dedication of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22 would be carried out from Times Square in New York City. Not only will the much-anticipated “Pran-Pratishtha” (consecration) of Ram Lalla be aired countrywide, but it will also be screened in several Indian embassies overseas.

On this auspicious day, India’s prime leader Narendra Modi will speak to the many Ram bhakts throughout the globe. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced that the national booth level will be the site of live television coverage of the consecration ceremony. Reportedly, members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have been instructed to set up large screens at booth level in order to live-stream the Shri Ram Consecration.

“This way, the general public can have darshan of Shri Ram Lala and witness the consecration ceremony,” an ANI source said.

The vedic rituals for the Pran-Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla (baby Lord Ram) are anticipated to commence on January 16, which is one week prior to the main event.

Rumor has it that Prime Minister Modi is closely monitoring the ceremony’s preparations and has requested detailed instructions on the rituals and rules he must observe during the event.

In keeping with the Pran-Pratistha, which is observed on January 22, Prime Minister Modi has committed to attending all religious services.

According to Nripendra Mishra, who is in charge of the construction committee for the Ram temple, in an interview with India Today TV, Prime Minister Modi had inquired with the Ram Mandir trust about any religious requirements that he must meet in order to conduct the Pran-Pratishtha.

An idol of Lord Ram called Krishna Shila (Shyam Varn), measuring 51 inches, will be part of the next Pran-Pratishtha festival.

The dark tint of Shyam Varn highlights the idol, which represents grandeur, purity, and divinity. It is customary to display a picture of Lord Ram before performing the Yagopavit sanskar. The painstakingly carved sculpture sits on a pedestal shaped like a lotus inside the Garbh Grah.

That new Ram Lalla statue would be called “Utsav Ram” is what Nripendra Mishra claims. Prior to the one preceding it, it will be positioned. Both statues will be relocated to the Ram Mandir following its restoration on January 16. The prime minister will also remove the eye cover from the Lord Ram statue on January 22.
