The inaugural train is flogged off by the honourable prime Minister from the UNA district of Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday. The fourth vande Bharat express is ready to make your travel easier and quicker from Chandigarh to Delhi from October 19. The train will be operating all days of the week, excluding Wednesdays, starting from October 19. The train starts from Delhi to Amb Andora in Himachal Pradesh. It will depart from the capital at 5:50 am and arrive at its destination at 11:05 am.

At Chandigarh, the arrival time for this train is 8:40 am. The train starts from Amb Andaura to Delhi and will apart at 1 pm and reach the capital at 6:25 pm. The arrival time in Chandigarh for this train is 3:25 pm.

What will it halt

The train will operate between Amb Andaura and new Delhi in Himachal Pradesh, with stops in Ambala cantonment, Anandpur sahib, Chandigarh, and UNA.

  • Unlike the Shatabdi express, a passenger favourite with multiple halts in Kurukshetra, Ambala, Panipat, and Karnal, based upon its morning, afternoon, and evening service, the Vande Bharat express halt only at Ambala cantonment between the New Delhi and Chandigarh.
  • Although the Shatabdi express runs at an average speed of 75.08km per hour, the Vande Bharat express average speed on route is 76.6kms per hour due to fast deceleration and acceleration.
  • As a result, while the former take around 3.5 hours with additional stoppages, the Vande Bharat express covers the same distance in three hours.

Vande Bharat Express, a fast train, is expected to come with cool features like complete air conditioning, automatic doors, sliding floor steps, separate disability-friendly toilets, and CCTV cameras in coaches.

The best thing is that there are charging points under every passenger seat, with GPS based information system, a 32-inch LCD TV, and on-demand Wifi content.
