Chandigarh Admin Restricts Entry To Sukhna Lake, Sector-17 Plaza, Public Parks On Holi

On this holi, you are not allowed to visit the beautiful Sukhna Lake located at Sector 17 Plaza, public parks.  So those who already knew this news was sad. But those who were unknown of the fact will get a huge shock. But this may have a positive side also. We all are almost irritated and scared due to coronavirus. The story of this pandemic has not still ended completely.  We all must be very careful and protective against this coronavirus. So the UP administration must have some important reason behind such an announcement on March 25.

What is the precautionary step against coronavirus?

We all know that precaution is better than cure. Besides so many deaths have happened due to this pandemic. So no holi celebrations will take place this time not only in Sukhna Lake but also in government parks and sector 17 plazas. This is not a decision of the UP government but you can surely consider it a precautionary measure. UP Administration hopes to lessen down the chances of patients being affected by Corovirus on this holi.

Do you want to know the timing of the non-allowance of entry?

Well, you will not be allowed to visit these places on March 29 from 6 am to 6 pm. This step is hoped for the wellbeing of you people.

Why are parks, plazas, lakes not allowed to visit?

You all may notice that the number of corona cases has started rising again. And people will gather in places like plazas, lakes, parks to enjoy holi to its fullest. So to save the common public from the virus of Corona, the government has banned entry in such places. This is not just a decision or announcement but a warning from the UP administration.

How to celebrate this holi?

The UP government has also strictly restricted any sort of public gatherings on Holi. And declared public to enjoy holi in their respective houses with their family members.

What about SDMs?

SDMs are also requested to allow them to arrange holi celebrations in their respective jurisdiction.

The event organizer will provide the concerned SDM with a prescribed format that will help them to be assured that the event is going on as per the norms of covid 19.

What more to protect us?

The Administration has also banned too much gathering in functions like marriage ceremonies, social and political events. Besides, no such event will be considered legal if arranged without obtaining proper permission. Moreover, hotels, clubs, and restaurants are also instructed not to arrange any party for celebrating holi.

The capacity of indoor and outdoor gatherings in covid situations.

  • Indoor: Not more than 100 people or 50% of the capacity is allowed
  • Outdoor: Maximum 200 people or 50% of the total area is allowed

The Anganwadi centers will remain closed till 31st March again as a precautionary measure of coronavirus. Women and Child Development, UT, and the department of social welfare together have taken such decisions. To exercise control over coronavirus, a Test-Track-Treat formula is followed. It helps everyone to come under vaccination.
