BJP announced the new CM of Madhya Pradesh today, named Mohan Yadav. Mohan Yadav is now the CM of Madhya Pradesh. He is 58 years old, a three-time Ujjain MLA, and worked as part of his predecessor Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s cabinet. Mohan Yadav will have two deputies, Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda. Recently, a video from a BJP meeting shows that they announced Mohan Yadav as the new MP CM and gave blessings to him.

How many seats did CM secure? 

Ujjain South MLA Mohan Yadav has been announced as the new chief minister of Madhya Pradesh by BJP. This choice ends veteran leader Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s bid for a fifth-time document record. The BJP got a convincing mandate in state elections, securing 163 seats out of 230, while the Congress completed a distant 2nd with 66 seats.

Who is Mohan Yadav?

Yadav’s influence in the state’s political landscape made his image strong when he took the oath as a cupboard minister on July 2, 2020, under authorities led by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

How did Dr Mohan Yadav secure his seat in Ujjain South?

In the 2023 Madhya Pradesh Assembly election, Mohan Yadav efficaciously defended his seat in the Ujjain South constituency, winning by 12,941 votes against Congress candidate Chetan Premnarayan Yadav. This victory marked his third consecutive period as an MLA, having secured 95,699 votes.

The Ujjain South constituency, which is part of the Malwa North place and falls under the Ujjain Lok Sabha constituency, has been a stronghold for the BJP on the grounds since 2003. Madhya Pradesh went to the polls for 230 assembly seats in a single section on November 17, and counting votes was accomplished on December 3.

The BJP, which had been battling close to 20 years of incumbency in the country, won a powerful mandate, bagging 163 seats, at the same time as the Congress at 66 seats.
