Chandigarh Smart City gets best UT award

Chandigarh has been adjudged the best UT award, the best e-governance project, the third sanitation project, and the best mobility project. The awards are given during India’s smart cities conclave 2023 in Indore. About Chandigarh triumphs

Chandigarh has been awarded the third position by Union Minister Hardeep Puri in the sanitation category for revolutionizing waste management here. According to the Mayor Anup Gupta of Chandigarh, the UT awards are dedicated to the Chandigarh citizens. He said that the achievements of smart city Chandigarh in smart cities national awards show the vision and commitment to a more sustainable city. Mitra said that the smart city Chandigarh recognized at the national Smart Cities Award reaffirms its commitment to transforming Chandigarh into a model smart city. It focuses on sustainable development, continuous innovation, and citizen-centric services.

The smart city Chandigarh Ltd shows the award-winning projects at the smart cities Indian conclave in Indore. Efforts are being made to make a replica of the bicycling infrastructure of the city and a bicycle sharing system for the public.
