Chandigarh International Airport on Wednesday made the big announcement for the Himachal Pradesh Tourist that they are soon going to launch a heli taxi service from Chandigarh to Kullu, Mandi, Dharmshala, and Rampur. The service is launched under the Centre’s scheme Udan 2.
The ride will be 30 minutes and available thrice a week, i.e., Monday, Friday, and Saturday.
Heli Taxi service route
The route will be diverted to other destinations on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. First, there will be a 25 minutes stoppage in Shimla.
Then, the heli taxi will proceed to Mandi, where it will take a halt of 15 minutes, then proceed to Kullu. On the way back to Shimla, it will touch Rampur. The passengers will also get connectivity from Mandi to Dharamshala.
What is the fare charges for Heli Taxi service in Chandigarh?
The fare charges of the route vary. One way charge per passenger from Chandigarh to Shimla is Rs 3,665. Then flying further to Mandi will charge an extra of Rs 3665. Then from Mandi to Kullu, the fare is Rs 3,155. Taking the total expense per person from Chandigarh to Kullu of Rs 10,485.
