The festival, which will occur at the Zakir Hussain Rose Garden in Sector 16 from February 25 to 27, will be celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
Most of the specific events will resume as the Covid-19 cases go away. However, the famous helicopter trip, which last offered at the festival in 2020, will not be available this year. There will also be no flower competitions.
The Rose Garden and Leisure Valley have been lavishly decorated for the three-day festival by the municipal corporation.
According to Mayor Sarabjit Kaur Dhillon, the celebration will be inaugurated on Friday by Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Banwarilal Purohit. It will feature Drums, balloons, bands, and folk dance performances from many states at the ceremony.
She stated that no competitions would be held because of Covid guidelines, but three high-energy musical evenings have been planned for visitors. There will also be flower arrangements and other decorations on display.

Vehicles should only be parked in authorized areas
People should park their cars exclusively in authorized parking areas around Rose Garden, such as in front of the MC Office, Hotel Taj, beside the RBI, multi-level parking in Sector 17, and backside of Chandigarh and Punjab Police Headquarters in Sector 9.
Pick-up and drop-off points have been established near the Ras Frontier and the Neelam Theatre in Sector 17. Vehicles parked in no-parking zones will be towed; call Helpline 1073 for more information. Should avoid Honking in congested areas.
On Friday, the municipal corporation will begin off the 50th Rose Festival. For the celebration, the MC’s engineering department’s horticultural wing has created 831 varieties of roses across the garden.
The MC will commemorate the occasion with a few special events and programs that were part of the festival before Covid’s arrival. In addition, the MC will beautify the Rose Garden and the Leisure Valley for the golden jubilee edition of the three-day mega event, and three musical evenings will be held over the weekend.
