Giving good news, the Chandigarh government has increased employment opportunities through cargo facilities.
Lots of good news is coming every day for the residents of Chandigarh. Today, senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Prof Prem Singh Chandumajra has said that the cargo facility will start at the Chandigarh airport of Mohali from the end of the year with the opening of this facility. The biggest beneficiary would be for export of fruits, vegetables, and flowers. The availability of cargo facilities will make Chandigarh airport in Mohali an export hub. Prof Prem Singh Chandumajra said that he had discussed the issue with union civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. He has given an assurance that the cargo facility will be completed by the end of the year.
Exporting of vegetables, fruits, and flowers is now easier with cargo facilities
The SAD leader said that with this Cargo facility, the export of vegetables, fruits, and flowers from other parts of the world would also be effortless and encourage the people associated with it. The facility of export will also depend on the number of flights from the international airport. It is being done in an enormous 12,127 square meters. It is believed that the construction of this cargo will also increase employment. It is an excellent initiative by the Government of Chandigarh.
Farmers got the opportunity to export their goods to other countries
The creation of a cargo facility would, in a way, promote agricultural diversification as farmers were finding it very difficult to export goods to other countries due to lack of port and not functioning well due to integrated check-post at Wagah. It was the compulsion of the farmers that they export vegetables, flowers and fruits that perish in a day only in Pakistan, but with the convenience of Cargo, that export will no longer be there; now farmers can export their goods to other corners of the country as well.
Farmers will benefit the most from the cargo facility
It is now much easier to transport the perishable goods to the Middle East in a few hours. Due to which the farmer’s revenue will increase, and people will get more and more employment and create business opportunities; due to the opening of cargo facilities, it will benefit farmers of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir the most.
International flights will increase
Prof Chandumajra, during his meeting with Scindia he requested that some international flights should also be increased. He said that there is a tremendous demand for Punjabis worldwide to improve the international flights from Mohali, and the flight ministry should consider this demand sympathetically.
