Indian climber Baljeet Kaur goes missing at Mt Annapurna in Nepal

Baljeet Kaur, the Indian women climber of 27 years old, was found on 18 April alive, a day after when she missed near the camp of Mt. Annapurna. She missed this camp while descending from point summit, said to expedition organizer official.

She was found by an aerial search team at the 10th-highest peak in the world. It was done without using oxygen above Camp IV on 17 April, said the pioneer adventure pasang Sherpa chairman. He also said that we prepare to schedule the long-term rescue and airlift her above the high camp. Ms Kaur has also appeared descending towards camp IV by the search team.

According to the latest reports, it comes to know that the women leading Indian climber, Baljeet kaur, was left alone under the summit point and remained out of contact with the radio till morning. The aerial search team start the mission on Tuesday morning to find Baljeet. Only after can she manage the radio signals to send and get immediate help.

As per Mr Sherpa, her GPS location shows a 7,375m altitude. She climbed at camp Mt. Annapurna with two Sherpa guides on Monday at around 5:15 pm. There are a minimum of three helicopters used there to trace her location.

How does Ms Kaur was missed?

Last year in May, Ms Kaur scaled Mt. Lhotse and became the first woman climber in India who climb four 8000-meter peaks in one season. On Monday, a Kishangarh resident in Rajasthan, Anurag Malu, was missed during descending from Camp III, Mt. Annapurna.

It was found later that the male died after falling from 6,000m into a crevasse during descending from IV camp, reported in the latest news.

She also posted her picture on 9 April again from Mt. Annapurna camp II. Another climber from North Ireland is said to have died on Monday in the mountains.

Climbers who are also missing

Along with the Baljeet Kaur, some other climbers are also missed. The resident of Kishangarh Rajasthan, Anurag Malu, was also missed. In the efforts taken place by the search team, it was found that he died after falling from 6000 m heights.
